In June 2013 Ethan Couch, killed four people in a drunk driving accident. Couch was given a 10-year probated sentence and because of his parents wealth was dubbed the ‘affluenza’ teen. In December 2015 a warrant was issued for Couch after his probation officer could not contact him. Couch and his mother Tonya had fled the United States and on December 28, 2015 were detained in Mexico.

Attorney DeBorde states Tonya Couch, the mother, could face up to 10 years in prison for fleeing with a person who has an active felony warrant for his arrest.
